You can take your plastic shopping bags to major supermarkets for recycling – look for the REDcycle collection bin at the front of the store.

If you’re not able to drop them off, empty plastic bags should be placed in your general waste bin.
Try to avoid using plastic bags wherever you can.
Use reuseable shopping bags instead and get yourself into the habit of putting them straight back in the car or your bag once you have unpacked the shopping.
Please don’t put your recycling in plastic bags in your recycling bin.
